| Note: We are looking for a volunteer to help with the updating of the Available Dogs webpage. This volunteer would upload photos of the new dogs onto the website. Time commitment is about an hour once a month on a pre-scheduled weekend. This role does not require going to the kennel. For more information, email pat(a)greyhound.org.
We thought you might enjoy a brief update on Jack (formerly Jackpot) and Faye! (The very shy brother and sister who have been adopted after waiting 15 months at the kennel).
Jack continues to do amazingly well! He's an active member of a pack of several greyhounds owned by Sandy and Allen Jepsen. He now goes for walks, on leash of course, down his street. He greets Sandy and Allen at their door whenever they come home. He just recently spent a week on vacation on the Cape with his greyhound buddy, Duke. He and Duke enjoyed walks on the beach and quietly exploring the neighborhood where he was staying.
Faye is also doing amazingly well. She loves riding in the car and has come to enjoy walks with Greyhound Adventures. She also has come to occasionally like brief touches and pates. Faye's a vocal girl - she communicates with her owners, Pat and Howard Hall, with specific barks - a bark for food, a bark to go out, a bark for attention, and a bark when she's nervous or anxious. Faye loves stuffies and regularly digs through the toy box to see what she can find to toss!
We'll continue to give you brief updates on these two sweet greyhounds as they adapt to life in a home.
